Tuna Steaks Recipe

(Makes 4 servings)
- 2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped (about 2 cups)
- 1/4 cup shredded fresh basil or 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 20 ounce tuna steaks
- 8 black olives (optional)

- 1. In a small bowl, combine tomatoes, basil, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well and set aside.
- Heat a charcoal grill until coals form white ash, or preheat a gas grill to medium. Place tuna on grill rack. Grill 4 inches from heat, turning once, about 6-8 minutes, until fish just turns opaque but is still slightly pink in the center.
- Place tuna on serving plates. Spoon tomato mixture evenly over tuna.
- Divide olives among plates. Serve immediately.
